Department of Constitutional Law and Political Science - Scientific activities
Scientific activities
The Department of Constitutional Law and Political Science was established in 2002, when two organizational units at the ELTE SZIF Educational Institution partly merged.
Our educational aim is to present the effective regulation and pass on the importance of constitutional culture. We wish to add a valuable contribution to the international and Hungarian scientific community with our research program.
The main educational tasks of the department are semesters of constitutional law and political science; however, we are also responsible for numerous optional courses. Besides the courses for law students, members of our Department take part in the training of international administration management major students both BSc. and MSc. levels.
The most important research area of the Department is parliamentary law. In 2012 the Centre of Parliamentary Research was established as a separate organizational unit but with the participation of all of our colleagues. Besides the research of parliamentary law, our lecturers carry out active publication activities in the field of constitutional law and political science.
